Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao will pay a two-day official visit to Hungary on June 24-25, fn.hu reports.
This will be the first time in 24 years that a Chinese premier officially visits Hungary, said Péter Szijjártó, PM Viktor Orbán’s spokesman.
The Chinese premier’s visit is linked to planned investments in Eastern Hungary, daily Népszabadság writes. Chinese investors are currently waiting for the Hungarian government’s answer on whether Hungary supports these investments. One of the projects involves a solar panel factory in Berettyóújfalu, and the other a citric acid factory in Szolnok.
